Finlandia’s Lactation Herbal Formula is scientifically designed, utilizing traditional herbal medicine to act as a galactagogue to help promote milk production. This herbal formula can alternatively be used as an expectorant to help relieve cold symptoms such as excessive catarrh.
Our Lactation formula is very well rounded. It not only increases the quantity of the milk but due to its highly nourishing formulation, it will also increase the quality of the milk. This gives mom and baby extra vitamins and minerals to support optimum growth and health.
Contained in this formula is the lovely Nettle plant. This plant provides protein, B, D and K vitamins, chlorophyll, calcium, magnesium, iron and trace minerals. It nourishes your blood and vital qi force and that makes you vibrantly healthy. Nettles are a gentle but powerful tonic to kidneys and adrenals. These two organ systems become taxed during pregnancy so the addition of nettles to this formula is key in nourishing and revitalizing these organs. Nettle will also tonify your arteries. Some western herbalists use Nettle to clear auras and energetic pathways. In the old Wessex kingdom of the south of Great Britain, Nettles were considered one of the nine sacred herbs. The Tibetan Buddhist saint Milarepa lived exclusively on nettles in his retreat and it is said that he become both green and enlightened!
