The ACM Welcomes International Journalists to Port of Spain
Port of Spain, June 21, 2012 – The Association of Caribbean MediaWorkers welcomes delegates to the World Congress of the International Press Institute (IPI) in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Over the past 18 months, the Local Organising Committee, co-chaired by the ACM and the Trinidad and Tobago Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA), with assistance from the Tourism Development Corporation, Government Information Services Ltd and the Media Association of Trinidad and Tobago, has worked hard to ensure all delegates have a fruitful and enjoyable stay.
The ACM’s interests will be served by high-quality discussions and debate on the future of the media industry globally and implications for the practice of journalism. In this regard, Caribbean participants will pay keen attention to discussions on emerging business models and the influence of social media platforms on the shaping of the new communication landscape.
